A Truth About Life: To Give Is To Live.

Image
- Giving is the key to getting and the secret of the Law of Abundance.                                                         - Uvelopin Hello again, and welcome to Uvelopin (which is you developing). As a truth about life, today's topic is "to give is to live". And this topic will be delivered with life's experiences. 1) We'll start with "Imoh" (African word for Wealth). Some years ago, Imoh worked in an accounts office and made a modest monthly income. Imoh had this cousin, Ayaka (African word for Sibling), who also had a paying job, but insisted on requesting that Imoh buy him recharge cards almost every time he ran out of airtime on his phone. Imoh considered Ayaka a nuisance for his regular requests for airtime, and one day, when Ayaka called for a recharge card, Imoh lashed out at him, telling him that they were both paid workers and h...

How To Achieve Personal Development: Associate Yourself With What You Want To Be.

Image
Hello again, and welcome to Uvelopin (which is you developing). Today, we are going to be talking about our associations and how they affect our personal development. Many times, we are oblivious of how our associations with our environment (people, the things we see and listen to, and the overall energy we emerse ourselves in each day). Our associations matter a lot because, what we listen to eventually becomes what we think about, and what we think about eventually becomes what we believe, and what we believe eventually becomes what we say or do. Do you see the chain of events? It's the chain linking what we see or hear to what we say or do. OUR DIFFERENT COMPONENTS There is some ignorance as to the components that make us up. (Permit me to get a bit esoteric now, but I'll break things down as best I know how). You may be wondering what I mean by "components". I'm not talking about the different body systems (digestive, nervous, circulatory, etc), neither a...

How To Achieve Personal Development: Spiritual Development.

Image
Hello, and welcome to Uvelopin (which is you developing). The focus for today is spiritual development as a way of achieving personal development. Some may consider spiritual development somewhat controversial, vague, vast, or unnecessary, but I will say it is the simplest and most important, and all encompassing way to achieve personal development. I say so because, you see with just discipline and attention, you can attain spiritual development. I use the word "just", and you may soon confess my expression of attainment of spiritual development to be an understatement, but... once you let go of your own vices, you become more flexible and easily accept the simplicity of, and dance to the rhythm of "discipline and attention". Once you get a hang of this concept in your spiritual processes and exercises, you begin to achieve spiritual development, and make the attainment of personal development even more of a breeze. To properly disintegrate this topic for smo...

How To Achieve Personal Development: Have A Schedule.

Image
Hello, and welcome to the Uvelopin blog. The focus for today is how you can achieve personal development by having a schedule, or filling up your calendar. It is important to fill up your daily calendar, and here's why: having idle hours or days means leaving a hole for just about anything to fill up. And something most certainly will; it may even be something stupid, or unwanted, or undoing in your life. The simple saying, "an idle man is a devil's workshop", is more true than you may think. Recall those times or days you had nothing to do? How did it make you feel? Restless, anxious, bewildered...? Then, some stupid idea came to your head, and you decided it was better to execute that stupid idea than be idle. Not your fault, but your fault. Not your fault, because the mind is not wired by nature to be idle or stationary (as the body is). Think of it this way..., your mind is still active, and busy, and dynamic even when you are asleep, or your when body is in som...

How To Achieve Personal Development: Resource Management.

Image
Hello there, and welcome once again to Uvelopin. Today, we are going to be looking at Resource Management as one of the ways in which we can achieve personal development. In case you haven't noticed, the major resources in this world are time, space and energy. Some of you, right now, are disagreeing, saying that time and money are the major resources in this world; but, hold on, I'll explain. Time, space and energy are mainly the major "categories" of resources in our universe. Not that you don't have money as a major resource, but money is merely a representation of these major categories. I'll explain further. Psychiatrists, doctors, and virtually all professions charge for their time, in other words, money becomes a representative (and not just an exchange) for the time they spent. Parking lots/spaces charge for parking, this, money then becomes a representative for the space (or takes the place of the space rented out); and this concept goes same for ...

How To Achieve Person Development: Self Confidence.

Image
This is another series I have decided to work on; how to achieve personal development. There are actually several ways by which personal development can be attained, but there are some things you must understand. First, I may use the words "achieve" and "attain", but make no mistake... it is not a destination. It is a continuous process (see A Truth About Life: Life Has No Destinations. It Is An Eternal Journey ); an eternal process. Second, it is worth embarking on, regardless of the pain you feel you may encounter. Third, no one can do it for you; there is a reason it's called "personal" development. Today, we will be discussing one of the ways to "achieve" personal development. Self confidence. Self confidence is basically admitting, or knowing, or making yourself believe that something is attainable (that ANYTHING is attainable) if you reach or go for it. And don't get me wrong... reaching or going for something isn't just wi...

A Truth About Life: Life Has No Destinations. It Is An Eternal Journey.

Image
Hello again and welcome to Uvelopin (which is you developing). Today's agenda is to share another truth about life which I have found to be definite, and it is that life has no destinations, because it is an internal journey. I found this to be true through my personal experiences, that of others, and good old logic! By logic, I am referring to the law of diminishing returns and the nature of all growth curves. It's simple! Simply put the law of diminishing returns says that, on a fixed factor (a non-flexible factor, such as land), you can only increase a variable factor (a flexible factor, example labour) in order to achieve increasing productivity so much so that, you'll eventually get a peak of productivity, after which total productivity begins to decline, and marginal productivity (the extra productivity you achieved with each addition of the variable factor on the fixed factor) decreases so much so that it becomes negative. I could give a better explanation and dr...
