CHEAP FLIGHTS TO BUSINESS SUCCESS – PART 7

This is going to be a 2-part session, where we will discuss the next 2 reasons why you may not want to go into or grow a business; having to worry about sustaining it (whether it’s a product or process of production/delivery, or the business as a whole), and selling/marketing the product/service.
Sustaining the Business or Process

This isn’t always easy.... I know. But what helps me is being honest with myself from the get-go. I love sustainability so I’m always trying to be honest with myself about what I can or cannot afford to keep doing for years and years to come, either on a small or large scale. For instance, with my bag business, when I was crocheting the bags, I could come up with more beautiful, unique, and expensive designs, but it could take me days, or at least a whole day, to finish just one purse. So, I knew I had to get a knitting machine and save time and yarn, and that would be more sustainable. You also find that doing something you love to do on a daily basis (and which you won’t mind doing as a service for cash) will be easily sustainable for you (until you outgrow it, of course).
I also found that sustaining a business, overall, also called for growth which would be brought about by innovation and expansion to increase output (especially if the market is good). I know it’s dicey stuff, but with good management, zeal, and some love for your business, you will succeed.
And the last (but definitely not the least) is...
Selling/Marketing Your Product or Business

Now... this is quite challenging especially if you have certain issues I do, e.g. shyness, or what I think is “excessive simplicity”. I’m the kind that is usually shy about talking to people about stuff; another thing is that I’m not too keen on social media (don’t ask why... just can’t help it). To be honest, I invest little time on it (unless I’m doing some sort of research), but it’s actually a great way to go now to get your goods/ services out there.
One thing I do currently is talk to friends, and my workers to use them to start a network. I get them to use my products so they can give believable attestations to how well the products work. Something I plan on doing is having a small get-together with friends and acquaintances from church, school, etc and talking to them about my products and services, how they can use the product, or go into the business selling them for profit. You could also try that, if you like. Maybe you can get ahead with it while I try to get over my shyness (haha!)

What I’m basically learning is that it’s all about the networks. If you can’t establish a network of sorts for your goods/services, then you can’t reach very far. Networking is grossly important. Even if you are a lazy tom-boy like me, I’m sure you can find a way.
In conclusion, starting and growing a business is like bearing and raising a child (or children). Love, patience, zeal, passion, willingness to give (or serve) and honesty (to yourself and others) are keys to creating and managing any investment endeavour.
I really hope that my talkativeness so far has helped you in one way or the other. Oh my God...! (LOL). And if you were patient enough to read all this, then I’m sure you are patient enough to start and manage a business (LMAO!!!). Anyway... I’m glad you came. Come again sometime; and have a lovely day... night... whichever it is... wherever you are....
